About Me

My name is Walter, I am 23 years old and live in New York. I love computers, and I am particularly interested in the Mac OS, and deployment techniques and strategies for it. I created this blog so that anyone interested in Mac OS management and deployment could read guides based on my experience.

Right now, I am particularly interested in, and working on, modular imaging, automated deployment, and management techniques for the Mac OS X platform. I really appreciate feedback, comments, constructive criticism, and compliments.

Thanks for the guide. I was wondering if you have put anything together for windows 7. We are having major issues using bootcamp and trying to sysprep windows 7. the generalize option breaks the sysprep and leaves us dead in the water. Obviously we need the generalize option to copy profiles, reset sids.. etc…. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Scott,

No, unfortunately I haven’t had time to get Windows 7 deployed yet. When I do I will post a guide for doing so. I have been investigating using MDT 2010 to do Windows 7 deployment for PC’s. It should also work for deploying Windows 7 to the Mac platform. MDT is a free download from MS, and here is a good book on the subject that I recently bought: http://www.amazon.com/Deployment-Fundamentals-Deploying-Windows-clients/dp/1451570031/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1281210990&sr=8-1

It may be worth posting your question to the MacEnterprise list as well: http://www.macenterprise.org/mailing-list. Someone most likely has done a Windows 7 deployment on the Mac platform there.
